KING OF GLORY, COME
by Dreamy Poetess
O Light that breaks the shadows' hold,
O Hand that lifts the weary soul,
Jesus Savior ever near,
Your name alone our hearts revere.
The heavens bow; the earth will sing
To crown you Lord, Eternal King.
The stars will fall; the night will flee,
When Christ returns in victory.
King of glory, come, come again,
With trumpet’s cry, with angel’s hymn.
The skies will part; the world will see
Jesus reigns in majesty.
O mercy flowing, Purest stream,
O grace that mends the broken dream.
Your cross has borne our guilt,
Our pain; Your love will never fade or wane.

Hope, Promise, and the Sustaining Power of Future Glory
The Christian hope is anchored in the promised return of Jesus Christ. This future event is not a distant abstraction but a source of present comfort and courage, transforming how we endure current trials. The promise of His glorious return affirms His ultimate sovereignty and the final victory over all darkness, pain, and injustice.
While life in this world involves weariness and brokenness, the assured hope of Christ's coming provides strength and perspective. It shifts our focus from temporary struggles to eternal reality, where every wrong will be made right. This blessed hope cultivates patient endurance, fuels worship, and inspires faithful living as we await His appearing.
The glory of His return is inseparable from the grace of His cross. The same Savior who will come in majesty is the one who first came in mercy, bearing our guilt and pain. His unfailing love, demonstrated historically on the cross, is the foundation that makes the future promise certain. Thus, our hope is a confident expectation, sustaining the heart between the grace already received and the glory yet to be revealed.
